21st Century Library Project Committee
Educators all over the world are beginning to revolutionize the way libraries operate. The library as a "Learning Commons" is the way of the future and we want to help Norseman develop a space where students and teachers can come together even more than they already do to collaborate and learn.
Our library is already a hub and a hive of activity, but it is in need of an update.
That's where we come in!
Because it is such a large project it will be broken down into phases.
Phase 1: Technology
Phase 2: Shelving, re-imagining the physical space
Phase 3: Furniture
Fundraising - Cost for a bank of refurbished computers is approximately $4500. (Phase 1)
Volunteers - Anyone interested in joining the discussion can contact Mel Lanno.
Phase 1 of the project was brought to SAC at the January meeting. The school's technology committee (teachers and administrators) also met in January to discuss their direction and plan for technology throughout the school. We will discuss the findings at the February SAC meeting and move forward accordingly.
